The Ecumenical Institute for the Middle East held a meeting via zoom with the participation of around 30 students and a number of priests and deacons. The meeting was moderated by the Institute’s executive director, Ms. Elsy Wakil. The meeting started with a word by the director of the institute, Dr. Zahi Azar, then a biblical reflection by Fr. Kamil William, during which he stressed on the importance of holding on to the Christian faith in these circumstances. After this meditation, two of the EI 2019 Students, Hadaf and Bassel sang a hymn inspired by the Holy Great Week. Then, Dr. Joseph Feltas delivered a lecture entitled: "The Epidemic ... Is There a Role for God?" in which he discussed the position of the churches regarding the Covid-19 epidemic, and then, time was dedicated for the students to ask questions. The meeting was concluded by Fr. Fadi Boulos’ prayer.
